Where I live the price of premium gas is getting close to what I can buy at the local airport.
any bad side effects of running 100 low lead?

Based on this 3 second Google search, I suspect it would a mistake of paramount proportion, but it's your car.

I believe that the lead used in motor fuel ruins your catalytic converter as well. I wouldn't risk it.

Looks like it’s a no-no.
yeah, airplane engines don’t have cat converters.

Do. Not. Use. Leaded. Fuel.

You can get 100+ octane no-lead fuel from VP Racing Fuels. That's the way to go if you want to self-blend for higher octane.
