We're leaving on our road trip in a couple of weeks. We will drop down to I-80 in NE, travel across Wyoming, go south into Utah, visit Arches, possibly Canyonlands, then east across CO. It should be a great trip.

You might want to check out Hiway 2 across Nebraska in the Sandhills. Good road, scenic, and you will be the only one on it. Those big rigs on I80 think they own the road and there is always construction. 26 across Wyoming is a good road to travel.

That is great. I used to go there on Rte 66 when we owned a place in Peoria AZ. I could see the Wigwam motel from I40 too when heading east when near Holbrook.
The Meteor Crater is not far from there and you have to see it once. Show Low AZ is great place to go to to beat the summer heat and the pizza at Bill's in Prescott AZ is the best I've had anywhere.
I look forward to touring that way again and also to see a nephew who now lives near Denver CO.
The best is in the west.
