Auto Dim
Picked up my 2021 SMG Z51 HTC last week from Macmulkin. What can I say they are the most professional guys I have ever gotten a car from. Todd unbelievable
and Shane what can I say for a guy who has a lot on his plate. Funny and great. But after driving I noticed that the car, a 3LT by the way, does not have auto
dimming for oncoming lights. What was Tadge and the engineers thinking about? This is probably a 20.00 cost to put into a 90K plus car. My daughters VW SUV
has it. GM time to set up to the plate. Besides that well worth the 9 month wait. My son is pushing me to put my deposit for a ZO6. He did 2.7 seconds with launch control

I misread your post initially. It has dimming for YOUR side and Rear mirror for cars coming up from behind. My 2016 Chevy Malibu has the auto-dimming Headlight feature, so GM has the parts.

My 2017 GMC Sierra has it too. It uses the camera mounted up by the rear view mirror, the same camera used for Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Alert system. Since the C8 has none of those options available I don’t think that camera is installed. I thought I read that they didn’t really have room up there given what is already there.

Would have been a nice feature to have on the car. But as with any car, compromises have to be made.

Yeah, that omission is a deal-breaker on any world-class sports car. 
But, then since the manual tranny is gone they had to leave something important for the driver to do besides turn the wheels once in a while.

All you got for ~$3000 over a 2LT is what I got! Option to pick the interior color I wanted! No more real tanned animal hide leather, which is just on the seating surface not even the bolsters. GM says the bolsters are their faux "leather" they coined as Mulan!
Yep no auto-dimming headlights, no vibrating the wheel when you cross a highway line, and with hers no automatic steering correction to keep you in lane or automatic slowing when you get too close to a car in front!
And worse, you'll have to pay attention as it WILL NOT brake for you if you don't see a car stopping in front because you looked down to see who set the foolish text message!

Pay attention while driving. You can dim the high beams very easily. I hope auto dimming devices have greatly improved. 60’s era cars didn’t dim until you had high beams from oncoming traffic in your eyes.
