I’m now getting a “too slow” indication when using this card on my PDR. I tried reformatting it (via the PDR). That was successful, but it still says too slow. But it was successfully used before. I had just swapped it out to pull some files off with my PC then deleted all the files. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Here's a thought and suggestion on what I have come across on the Forum in a seperate SD card thread. It's quoted below:
Standard SD cards in general are not meant for many overwrites. There are specific High Endurance cards that are made for dashcams, surveillance and other applications where a lot of overwrites are expected. An example is here:
They are barely, if at all, more expensive than their non-high-endurance counterparts and fulfill the speed requirements, so IMHO there is no reason not to get a high endurance card.
I have one of those listed 128 GB Sandisk High Endurance micro SD cards with adapter that I have been using for almost a year with no problems. When it was full I just reformatted it. I recently changed the setting so that it would over-ride when full and now I am getting the message that the card is too slow so it does not automatically record as a dash cam. I will set it back to NOT over-write to see if that fixes the error.

However, the way you format your card may make a difference: if your file allocation unit size is too small. So give it a try of this and see if it makes any difference: reformat the card on your PC, make sure you select exFAT file system, and for the allocation size select 8192 bytes or simply the largest number, and uncheck the "quick format" option, and reformat it.
Since video file typically is very large, formatting it in large file allocation means that in each write operation large chunks of data being written onto the storage section at once, instead of many repeated writes with smaller data chunks. In some cases this will improve the write speed.

With this said, is the overwrite feature in the PDR just not going to work? Maybe it's dependent on whether you have the recordings set to high resolution video rather than low resolution.

Yes, I do - I have set it to record at the highest resolution, and also auto write over if the card is full. No problem at all so far, and last time I checked the card over a months ago, there are dozens of recordings on it (but I didn't look at each video other than picked a random few to look at). So this high capacity card has been working out great.
Since it's a huge capacity, I expect it's going to be a long long time before it starts overwrite existing ones, since I have not driven the car that much given the current work-from-home situation and no chance to drive to office on a regular basis.

I am still having a problem with the PDR not automatically recording when using it as a dash cam. I notice that sometimes the PDR is not recording but when I go to the PDR and hit “start recording” it works fine. I have a duplicate SD card and will try it. If I still have a problem I will try the 32 GB card that they gave me at Spring Mountain. That one worked fine but not using the automatic recording mode.

My wife's C8 PDR was doing the same thing until she turned off valet mode IIRC.
