So I just took delivery of my C8 a couple days ago. Once I got home I noticed how bad the silver trim pieces looked on both doors, but especially on the driver's door. Basically the cut is not smooth at all. Please see pics. The dealership sent pictures to GM this morning and GM refuses to replace them. Is there anything else I can do or am I stuck here?
Pitiful... both the parts and GM's response, but nevertheless... are the parts aluminum or plastic? In either event they can be removed (with who knows how much trouble) and repaired or replaced as noted previously. In my wasted youth I'd have had them off and fixed immediately upon hearing GM's reply, but today? I'd probably just live with 'em and drive on... All the best, in any event.
At the end of the day it's just a Chevy at an amazing bargain price for what you get. Yeah, your trim piece would bug me at first but after awhile I'd stop looking at it. My C6 Grand Sport had a few body panel fit issues but I let it go because overall the car was gorgeous.
That’s totally unacceptable garbage. You shouldn’t have to fix it yourself and just because the C8 represents a good performance value doesn’t mean you should accept fit and finish issues that would only be acceptable on a Tata.

But the C8 is cool looking, so that means poor fit/finish is acceptable. We have to remember it’s only an $80-85,000 car (on average) and it’s GM, so we must keep our expectations low.

The dark trim against the silver makes it more noticeable. It appears to be that the fitment was tight at assembly so they used a tool to file it back a little. I have sky gray and black doors and I think I can see similar rough edges of I stare really hard but it's harder to see because it's against the gray interior.

No excuse, surprised GM won't authorize replacement.
This may be an easy workaround I used for another reason BUT would work. Only need a little but only comes in 16 foot lengths but $7 to $10 on Amazon. Comes in black! No removing anything. Can do both doors and many others! I used a drop of instant glue on the thin section that you insert in the gap. Sold car after 3 1/2 years looked perfect. Installed some on the passenger door to match.
Pop the part off, hit the edge with some fine sandpaper or an emery board, and quit worrying about it. I agree GM should have finished the edge better. But is it really worth arguing about? It's an easy fix. Just clean it up and get back to enjoying the car.

We, as a people, have been conditioned to accept less. Sad.
I agree that it should be a simple fix if you just pop out the piece, sand it down, and put back in. (Should have been simple enough fix for the dealer to begin with).
OTOH that's a **** poor finish. The "yeah, it's a GM, whaddya expect?" excuse is pretty lame as it's still a $70k+ car. That wouldn't be acceptable for me in any new car, let alone an expensive one like the C8.
