Default Premium Floormats?

I read somewhere that the premium floormats from GM are actually nicer than the nicer Lloyd's mats. Is this true? Anyone have photos/details of both?

Here's a review of the GM premium mats. I haven't compared them directly to Lloyds but I liked the GM backing better:

I have the GM premium mats - ordered them in the original purchase options. I posted photos of them before but here again are the photos:

The material feels alright, a bit thicker than the default mats that came with the car.

However, I dislike the way that C8 logo being put there... first of all, it's a very thick and heavy metal emblem, sticking out above the mats, and second, its shape doesn't looks like a car but more looks like a dead stingray fish

The C8 flag logos being used in Lloyds mats with Corvette name is a much better looking design in my view, and they don't stick out above the mats surface like the "dead fish" on GM's premium mats. So I regret that I ordered that option in my C8 purchase , and had I had the chance to do it again, I'd have skipped that option and get the Lloyds mats instead.

For my C7 GS I ordered the premium mats and found them disappointing, ordered the Lloyds mats and found them to look much better. For my C8, I ordered the plain mats and plan on ordering the Lloyds this summer.

I don't have the car yet; but I purchased the C8 Premium Lloyds mats based upon past purchases on my C6. I like how you can have STINGRAY OR CORVETTE, embroidered on the mats and your choice of logos too. Purchased from American Floor Mats, americanfloormats.com The normal price $233, and they had a 10% of coupon.

Luxe Car Mats
» Lloyd LUXE: LUXE 2 Pc Front Mats ($149.00)
» Mat Color: 775 Black (775)
» 2021 Chevrolet Corvette

» Logo (Front Mats): 819417 ($84.00) C8 Flags Silver & Stingray Word Silver Dbl (2020-ON) Applique

Have not seen the GM offerings other than in the pic above (along with the review), but IMO it is hard to beat the Lloyd’s mats. Had them in my C5s and now in my C7 and am very pleased with them.

These look nice.. With my natural interior, I'm wondering if they have a combo orange/natural with the black.

I like the trim on the border.
Are these available without the fish?
Thank you

I got a color sample of Lloyds tan border and it doesn't match Natural.

@LIE2ME I have the Lloyds Luxe mats with the embroidered C8 flags and red stitched trim. I've posted pictures of them along with my OEM mats in a side-by-side photo. The Luxe mats have a thicker, deeper pile. In the side-by-side, you can see the difference in the depth just by comparing the area around the grommets.

As for color matching, Ebony is not an exact match, but I only see the difference under a photo flash. I'd order a color sample if you're trying to match Tension Bue, Natural or Morello Red. Otherwise, Ebony is fine.

I bought Llyod mats for my C6 in 2005. Still have the car and the mats. Both look great, and those are Oak (light tan). Lloyds are great for those of us who like to drive barefoot. Feel great, too.

Lloyd's Luxe mat in Enony.

Lloyds Luxe (L) and OEM (R) C8 mats. Note the difference in thickness around the grommets.

Those Luxe mats look great. I went ahead and ordered them with the same red stitching as yours. I ordered black instead of Ebony. I know its darker than the carpet in the car, but I really like the way they look...

And when I sell either of my Vettes, I'll be able to provide the "as new" floor mats. Enjoy them!
