Default NCM Delivery

So as I plan for my order, I am going to get the R8C option! For those who did it, was there any chance it could be delivered during inclement weather, like Winter! I'm planing to drive it home to the Richmond VA area. I know its hard to determine when it will be delivered but if it's snowy in the mts. I need a plan B. Were there any of you thinking about that and what options did you plan for? Again, just planning for the worse and maybe just maybe I'll get the best. Any way it will be another adventure!! Thanks

Your dealer will contact you when their allocation for you comes up. This is about two months before production and your last chance to make changes to the order. At that time you can make a good guess when you can pick up your car at NCM and decide if the probable weather works for you. If it doesn't, cancel the Museum Delivery option.

I might well be in the same boat!

Non-Z51 so unless heavy snow I’ll be fine...

Keep in touch with Shane at the museum, he is the coordinator for museum deliveries. If you get museum delivery, a few weeks before delivery, he will contact you to insure the spelling is correct for the included plaque you get with R8C. I picked mine up in January, luckily no snow.

If there’s bad weather I will transport it. I’m not driving a new sports car in bad weather

My 2015 Z06 was museum delivered on March 2, 2015. It snowed like crazy that morning and they still did Museum Delivery. Fortunately, I made arrangements with a friend to trailer the car home to Kansas City. By noon the snow was gone on the roads and they were just wet.

Yeah, I will have to watch and make the decision when the order is at the last change point. There's probably zero chance that if the 2022's begin building in Sept., that I would see the car before April even later. However there's probably also zero chance that everything works out timely as well considering all the past (and current) issues! My dealer did say they'd ship the car back to them after museum delivery if I wanted, but it's more cost although at least an option if I was still intent on museum delivery. Thanks for all the info.
