Howdy All,
I'm looking for recommendations for replacement letters that are more durable. The letters are losing their color (chipping), breaking and coming loose. I see one vendors has decals. Any other vendors out there?
Never been a fan of branding on my car. I'll likely remove anything removable that relates to Chevy or Corvette when I have PPF done. No flags in the rear I think would leave it a bit barren, not sure what I'd put there. Maybe an SCCA badge or Nurburgring badge (though my OCD likes symmetry)
I gotta ask- Why the damage? Mine don't look anything like that
Good question.... I am particularly careful detailing around those letters because they are dont seem to be glued on very securely. I'll say thinner and "cheaper" looking than the letters on my C7.

I've already debadge the front. Time for summetry.
When I added PPF and Ceramic, I had the place remove the carbon rear script and replace with red OEM part to spice it up a bit and match other red accents on my car (calipers, red/black interior). Ordered the part online from GMpartsxperts.com but other places also have this. No problems with quality..... I have no issues with badges /lettering and this was a subtle way to change the look! Actually got the idea from the 2020 Corvette Brochure which had an image of a Shadow Gray C8 with this option....
Red OEM Script Letters

That didn’t happen on its own. Pressure washer too close to the emblem perhaps?
I washed my car today after seeing this post and I gotta admit, those letters are pretty flimsy. It's real easy to catch the towel on the corners and break them right off if you are wiping across them. You have to take your time and work the towel around them carefully to avoid snagging the corners.

Am I missing something here? The raised letters look great. If you have cracks or chips on them after only a few months of ownership, bring it to the attention of ANY Chevrolet dealer and have them replaced.... for free.
How did you get your pipes so clean? they look like their new.
Easy to find DIY exhaust tip polishing kits online. Recall seeing a Mother's kit in Wal Mart several years ago. A couple of drill motor mounted buffing pads and Simichrome. You provide the elbow grease.
