Let’s see if you use your car the way you’re supposed to. Post your June smart driver summary ——-before you flane average speed accounts for daily traffic in nyc!
Somehow mine is activated and I can’t figure out how to turn it off.
The first report it sent had lots of “hard acceleration” and “hard braking” events on the one day I drove it (to the store and back), accelerating slower than Granny does and making VERY gentle stops. Whaaaaat?
Mine doesn't seem to keep the history longer than a couple days. I did use it once to see how the service guys drove it during it's stint with them for bad fuel injectors. They asked and I gave permission to test drive it when the work was done to clear codes and let the engine learn the new injectors.
Is there a way to turn that creepy thing off. I feel like Tucker Carlson.
In your MyChevrolet app it's right in the main menu if you scroll down. On the MyChevrolet website, you can find "Deactivate smart driver" option in the main menu, Vehicle Health. I just deactivated mine thanks to reading this thread. There used to be a setting that you could tell them not to share driving data with insurance companies. I can't find that in the new app. Maybe deactivating smart driver does this?
my data isnt being shared but rest assured regardless of deactivating smart driver that data is being stored forever in your black box. Big brother has you whether you want it or not. Driving around in a Faraday cage isnt practical
Worse security item is your phone and there is no option except to not use one. Almost every day, one subject being discussed, NOT on the Phone, but nearby, advertisements magically appear on my phone that I never did a Google search for. It doesn't matter what I am doing - searching for something, browsing, gosh forbid FB, or even just reading THIS forum, ads appear for the product or subject discussed days or hours before. Big brother Google and Mark Zuckerberg are listening, even with your phone off.
