I wanted to know if anyone has ordered through GM the front and rear splash guards for their C8? Are you happy with the appearance? Does it stick out too much? I had it on my previous C7 only on the rear tires and felt it stuck out too much. Rear only or all four on the C8? Practicality and looks is the question. GM accessories sells 4 for $250 (I think it’s little steep). Appreciate your feedback.
I bought stock splash guards from chevyparts.com for $130. I'm glad for the added protection, but they are very slight in that they don't stick out much. I've since read on this forum someone makes a "extended" version, but I haven't seen any pics so I don't know who makes em, or if they are nice or look too much like mud flaps for my taste.

Yep, I did the same before my C8 arrived for $129 from a discount seller. I had them on my 2014 Z51. Bought wider fronts for my 2017 Grand Sport from ACS that had the same width front tires as on the rear of my 2014 Z51. The GM stick out very little and provide protection in the rear. For the front my experience is you need full length side skirts to stop pebbles.

Front Splash Guards do Little To Stop Where Pebbles Thrown by Front Tires will Cause Marks on Rockers. This Pic is a Tracker Who Showed Where Track Rubber Hit His C8. I Had GM Splash Guards Installed Day 1 and it Took 2 Months for my Full Length Side Skirts to Arrive from C7 Carbon. In That Time Had Pebble Marks in That Same Area! Fortunately the Side Skirts Covered Those Marks!
Found the same issue with my 2014 Z51 and added aftermarket full length side skirts that stopped all marking. For my Grand Sport ordered the GM Stage 2 Aero package that included full length side skirts (not the standard short ones.) Worth the $3800 IMO. Stopped all rocker panel marks. In 7 months since adding side skirts my C8 is the same, no marks! Worth the ~$850 price from C7 Carbon, IMO. Or pay $4800 for GM 5VM made from carbon fiber!
So from what I am reading if you had the side rockers it will help protect from rocks from the front wheel so you don’t need splash guards in the front but then just buying two for the back will suffice?

Yep that's about right BUT I added as much for looks go match the rear. Cheap enough if you can find a discount seller. They do stop some "stuff" as you can see if you look at the front surface.
Are you saying if I hear you correctly that it’s difficult to get just a pair from vendor because they will only sell you 4?
thanks,
Uno
Nope. Should be able to buy front or rear. BUT even if you're going to add full length side skirts would not hurt to spend the extra $70 for a pair for the front to match the look of the rear. As I said mine collect some stuff as you can see by looking at the wheel side surface. Tires toss a lot of "stuff."
I installed the splash guards and have been happy with them. There is too much dirt and gravel on the roads where I live and it wouldn't take long for the paint to get damaged. They stick out a little but go nicely with the 5VM aero in my opinion.
On the My Chevrolet app the front and rear splash guards are $75 per set ($150 For all 4). Are these the same item as discussed above? I’ve got the 21,000 points to spend from my C8 purchase so I’ll get them through the app unless these are different.
update: the part numbers are the same as above, and there is a 10% off coupon, so GM seems to price them competitively.

Purchased front & back Splash guards from GM Overstock in May cost $150.00. Have installed previously on my 15 SR & 17 GS the process is not difficult.
I have the splash guards and so far they've done an excellent job preventing rock chips on the front of the rear quarter panel. I also have the rocker extensions as well. I think the combination works in tandem to keep rocks from hitting the side of the car.
Several advantages of not having the Z-51 package that doesn't get discussed much is that the all-season Michelins don't throw rocks like the sticker PS4S. There isn't much brake dust either. Two big advantages if you never plan to track your C8.

Uno, the four splash guards cost $250 when you order them with your car and covers the dealership’s tech’s time installing them. Online you can get them (4) for about $110 to $150 depending on seller. They were out of stock for a while. It took me about 40 minutes to take the original flush pieces off and install the extended splash guards. You will definitely need a plastic pry bar tool set to remove the stock flush mount pieces.
