Default Splash guards

Hey there I'm in the market for splash guards and after shopping around I've noticed that gm doesn't sell them in carbon flash so looks like I'll be going with aftermarket ones, but looks like there's regular and XL.
I saw that wildhammer stats that XL maximums aerodynamic and I find that hard to believe but would like to hear your guys opinion cause this is all new to me due to not being much of a car guy. I only saw a picture of a c8 and instantly fell in love with the car.

so which ones do you guys recommend and from which website?

I have the xLs on my HTC. The minute difference in aerodynamics for a mostly street driven car is minimal. The extra protection I worth more than maybe 1mph at top end.

Oh I'm not worried about the speed since I'm not tracking the car but where did you order yours from if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah that looks alright. Shouldn't be an issue if you only drive on the street. Protection comes at a higher priority

When ever this topic comes up, I am always left wondering if we are talking apples to apples. I believe most vendors sell the GM splash guards. I assume the ones on the car from the factory are the ‘regular’ version (they are flush with the body). The ones most people are buying are the GM XL are a bit wider, sold by many vendors and GM part suppliers. Then there are the ‘extended’ (they look ‘jumbo’) that Extreme Online Store sell in carbon flash ($309). RPI sells some painted to match for $280. They say theirs is 1/4” wider at the bottom than the GM XL. It’s hard to tell if they are the same as Extreme Online Store’s, only painted to match. By looking at their pics, it looks like Extreme Online are the widest, but not sure.

If someone can clarify this, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

Mine are the Extreme Online version…..didn’t pay $309 for them though. The set was $225 during a sale they had.

SoCal, did you install them yourself or have them installed? I don't want the factory ones but don't know what it takes to install 3rd party ones, so would rather have them installed.

They are very easy to install. No need to remove the wheels.

Fit just like OEM. One screw and about 5 clips per corner. For the front I just turned the wheel in to have better access. For the rear I used a broomstick and a towel for padding against the splash guard as leverage to get the clips to snap in place.

30 minute job with one IPA (that’s a beer) for encouragement.
