This has happened to me 2 times and about 3 months apart. I push the button to start the car and it just keeps turning over till I push it again. I have to try this several times and almost run out the battery but after many tries and even using auto start it will finally start. Has this happened to anyone and if so, did you take it in and if so, what did they say?
I have had some slow starts that cranked probably twice as long as a normal start. Still, started within 2-3 seconds.
I was wondering if perhaps the fuel rail hadn't achieved optimal fuel pressure yet? Was wondering if long pressing the start button without brake pedal also starts the fuel pump running? Maybe try that first before starting to see if it starts rapidly each time.
I had a slow start a few weeks ago. Starter kicked for way longer than normal. Drove and smelled fuel vapor (like a boat blower at the dock) when sitting at the first stop light. Took it in into the dealer. Bad fuel injector. Fixed quick and no issues now.
