FYI, my Range Rover remote start is the same as if you started it normally except it will shutoff the car in 30 min. if you are not in it. The annoyance is that if the RR sits for more than a few days the feature becomes inactive. I believe this is to save battery power.

That was not my point. You are correct, but there is no reason to keep your fob in your pocket all the time - my choice. I take my fob out when I leave and put it on the counter inside the house - to keep it away from the car and cause circuits to stay activated. When going somewhere, it does go in my pocket when I leave my C8, but returns to the cupholder or inside door handle when I return. Nothing unique to my C8, I do this for all my FOB vehicles. To each as they desire. The only correct methodology is what you choose for you.
