Update question
Background; We got the recall on the airbag indicator thingy. I checked for updates on the information screen and it said one was available. I accepted it and it told me to turn the car off. I did and it started a download. After it was done it 'verified update' and came up with 'update failed'. Then the car went dead; nothing worked. I applied my universal fix (I went and got two fingers of Seagram's VO) and went back to the car and everything was working again (gota love that Seagram's). I checked the update log and nothing was there then checked for updates and it said none were available. I called the dealer and they cross checked my serial number and it noted that the airbag update was accomplished a month earlier (my wife may have accepted it without realizing it). There was, however, an additional update for the infotainment center that the dealer said can't be done over the air. I'm wondering if that was the one that "failed" and the airbag one doesn't get listed in the update log. Anyone know anything about this?
