Can someone let me know how to use GM points and if there is a max you can use. thank you
20,000 points are worth about $100 for purchasing accessories.
I'm not sure that is what he meant. I carry a Capital One GM card that provides one dollar of discount on a new GM automobile to each point earned (up to a maximum allowed on a particular model). For example, 2020 and 2021 Corvettes allowed up to $1,500.00 in GM Card points to be used during the purchase. I do not know if the 2022 is part of that offer as of yet...
If you do not have the Capital One GM card in your possession, you will need to wait through Sept to get one. Goldman Sachs bought the card and shut down applications until Sept or later. Bummer for those of us late to the party.
Or, do like I do and chase cash back/points/miles from other cards, then use those proceeds to buy GM Card points off forum members. The going rate seems to be $1,000 for $1,500 in points. I did this for my C7 & C8. I'd be happy to refer you to the guy I dealt with for both transactions.
capital one. The dealer says he will check but doesnt think i can use them on a corvette so im not sure what to tell him. Its my brothers card and he is giving them to me but I am on the card already as a user. Isnt all i need is the card #?
thanks for the help

Ask your dealer to run your specific credit card number. There are various versions of the GM Card and some work for the C8 and some don't. And of those that work, some accrue more value than others. I was able to get $1,500 off of MSRP, which was the max point value allowed with my Card version.
