The snarky remarks when someone makes a honest mistake are what make forum not as grand as it could be.,,.IMHO.

Have them on my car and love them. My previous C7 was LT2 and my C8 LT1 seats are better in my estimation. I never found the need to use the adjustable lumbar on the C7.

The 2014-2019 Stingray engine would make a terrible seat.

1/2/3LT are interior trims.
LT1/2 are engines.

Built-in heated seat though.

I don't know how GM comes up with their 3 letter RPO and LPO codes, but these similarities have been confusing people for decades. Sometimes I think they just throw a bunch of scrabble tiles up in the air and grab 3 of them on the way down.

The OP has only 3 posts and is new to the forum and we call him out for not knowing the proper nomenclature. We should help educate and not try to embarrass.

OP, I too am deciding which seat to get and that is why I looked at your post. Hopefully those with more knowledge will chime in with help.

They seem to be good seats. Most say GT1 and GT2 are equal comfort-wise. To get any more specific than that you would have to go sit in both and see which fits you better. If your trim is 1LT then they’re your only option besides the competition race seats which most say are not comfortable for regular or long term use.

To get the GT2 seats you’d have to pay $7500 extra for 2LT then $1500 extra for the seats. The GT2 seats have a higher grade of leather and look better but if you care about comfort the GT1s are perfectly good.

Get over the butt hurt no one is shaming him just having fun. No one said he's a bad person. Clearly the confusion when GM went back to the LT designations for the engine codes.

The "base" 1LT model seats have excellent support and are very comfortable.

(I am 5' 7" and weigh 200 pounds)

I have limited time in the GT1 seat, but I noticed no real difference in shape or comfort between the GT1 and GT2 seats. The differences are primarily style. I find the adjustable lumbar support in the GT2 (and probably the GT1) is positioned too high on my back (I'm 5'8") and don't use it. I find the lumbar support adequate anyway. I haven't seen a lot of people complaining about the seats in a 1LT. If the 1LT meets your needs in other respects, I wouldn't worry about the seats.

As stated, there is NO substitute online for actually sitting in the seats and deciding for yourself. However, in a pinch after you get whatever, a good upholsterer can often work wonders with OEM seats. I've been down that route. All the best.

Agreed that the naming is confusing, my post was meant as clarification, I hope nobody took it otherwise. My dad has the same confusion that I've walked him through multiple times.

I have the 3lt trim, and love the seats.. The first few months they were a little too firm, then broke in nicely and are just right now

I have the base seats in my LT2 & they are comfortable. I would have preferred better leather & would have paid extra for it, but GM didn't give me that choice. Yes, I wanted the base LT1 seat with better leather.

Chicks don't care about the seats. They know they are better looking when seen in a C8.
