Default Inner Grill Guards

Has anyone had any luck hiding the ties on the inner guards on the front bumper? The outer seem to be pretty hidden once you remove the front grill insert.

See pic below (Not my car)

Just synch them from the back, no one is ever going to notice that zip tie unless they are down on the ground looking for them, like the picture you posted.

Default Hmm?

Teenage angst over a zit on my nose. Mom said if someone looks that close, they are a very good friend. And don't care.

OCD is real. It's more about me and less about everyone else.

When I had those on mine, the inner portion was wedged behind the carbon flash bumper piece and the outer side was zip tied behind the body color portion of the bumper. No zip ties visible.

Outer grill guards also had no visible zip ties anywhere.

So, did you remove the grills for a reason? Different ones? More air?

Search his username and you'll see he's bought and sold two C8's.

I installed them, but was not able to completely hide the zip tie ends like I did with the outer grills (behind the winglet inserts). But you have to get on your hands a knees to see them. Pick your poison: practically invisible zip tie ends or highly visible, bug-clogged radiator fins.

I did the "cut your own grill" approach, oversizing grills a little to reduce the need for black cable ties. All ties are hidden, at any practical viewing angle.

The inner grills (cut extra long) are press fit into the center part of the car, and wire tied on the outer side where you cannot see them.

The outer grills were installed as described elsewhere in this forum, so that no cable ties are visible. The procedure involved removing that black carbon flash T-member(winglet inserts). When I re-installed the T-member, I reversed its attachment bolts so they can be tightened from the front, and using the original clip nuts like regular nuts (because in reversing the bolts, there was no way to clip the clip nuts to anything).

No black cable ties visible.

I installed the Paragon grills also, no zip ties used. they bolt into the factory locations. Clean look and seem effective.

I assume you mean the two inboard front grills. Purchased all from CustomCarGrills.com.

No, ran the same Custom Car Grills inserts on both cars. No issues with airflow.

Not sure about any tape, but you get what you pay for, that is why they have the zip-tie option.
