People are far more likely to join a forum and post when they have an issue than when everything is fine.

Normally that’s the case, but lately we’ve had a lot of forum regulars with the same DCT issues. It’s like finding out your friend’s have Covid instead of just reading about it in another country.
As convenient as it is to just blow it off as a rare issue that’s over amplified, just looking at users posting issues and a simple read of their post history indicates it does seem to be a thing.
Thats the problem. A car isn’t supposed to have issues. The fact you have to ask is concerning.
I’m concerned because I’ve owned a lot of cars and been on a lot of forums and transmission failures are not a thing you typically see in a new car.
What you appear to be doing is take the “glass half full” approach. Like if Chicago posted how many people didn’t get murdered over the weekend.
For people who don’t have any problems, I want to know their secret. Car built on a Tuesday? Is the color? Give us some tips so I don’t have to plan my trip home using Corvette service centers as waypoints.
I thought the thread topic was ridiculous. People are here bragging how great their car is because it has NO PROBLEMS. It's not supposed to have any problems, give me a break.
We have a 2020 3LT Torch Red; the only issue we experienced was the shudder that actually shut the car down. Triple flush at local dealer solved it; going on 10k miles now....I must say, I have a 17 GS WGG, and my father's C8 is really growing on me.
It's good to see how many C8s come out of Bowling Green with no issues. I think we only see a small percentage of people who take delivery and don't have any issues because they've never heard of this group.
I picked up my 21 TR HTC on 9/14/21 and have a little under 3400 miles on it without a hiccup. It will get driven more - a unsuccessful back surgery has kept me out of it more than I would have liked it to but hopefully the doctors will figure that out soon and I can drive it more. I absolutely love the car. It is heads and shoulders better than any car I've ever owned and such a pleasure to drive.
I come here to read about the problems that I may experience with my C8 when I take delivery in September. After reading a lot of threads about C8s with issues, I would like for C8 owners who have had no issues with their cars since they took delivery to show there are - IMHO - a lot of you out there. Post whatever information you would like to make those of us taking delivery soon, or considering ordering a C8, feel better!
TIA for the information.
Zero issues here in 1800 miles since delivery.
Keep in mind that the overwhelming majority of C8 owners are not on this forum. People with problems are over-represented on car forums compared to the general public for specific cars because owners with problems will come and register looking for help/answers. The overall % of owners with problems is very unlikely to be significantly higher or lower than with just about any other car.
I too was worried pre purchase but as of now I havent even purchased an extended warranty, and I plan on keeping my C8 until I die.
I picked up my C8 Z51 at the museum on 1/20/2021. It was built on Wednesday 1/7/2021. I drove it home to Northern Illinois, and have 8,000 miles on it with zero problems. Love the car and can't wait for snow and cold weather to stop. Hope to drive it this Sunday as the temps will be in the upper 50's and no rain for a change. I was taught that a car built on a Wednesday was the best day. I was glad to hear that my car was built on a Wednesday. Have 3 trips planned for this spring and summer around the USA. Probably put 10,000+ new miles on it. We leave for the museum, tail of the dragon and the Biltmore in 3 weeks. I also drive my motorcycle 10,000 miles a year around the USA. Have a ride planned to go to Louisiana and Texas in June/July.
Ive had my '21 a week, driven 800kms and its just out of break in. no issues to report other than my face hurts from smiling like an idiot every time im in it!
I picked up my 2020 Torch Red C8 Dec. 1, 2020. It is a Z51 with front end lift and 2LT trim and a few other options. At 25,000 miles I changed the OEM Michelin 4S for the Michelin AST so I could drive it through the NH winter. I now have 32451 miles on the car. Everything from around town to Interstate trips. All this time I have not asked for a single warranty repair.
