Default 3000 Status Changes?

Quick question. Can you still make changes to your build at 3000 status? I searched the threads but couldn’t find the numerous ones I have seen before. I should have paid attention but 3000 seemed a million miles away then.

You can...but make sure it's worth the trouble.

I was able to change my order at 3000 and yes it has delayed my order about a month, however it was worth it to get exactly what I wanted (switched from coupe to convertible).

at this point, with less than a month and a half of production, I would say no....if it was sooner, like others have done, Id say yes.

Not that I wanted to change anything but I asked my dealer if they do changes at 300 status. They said they avoid it like the plague if possible because it's a PITA and causes huge delays. GM doesn't like when you change things up after they agree to accept your build.

what kind of delays? I made a change with my april allocation and was moved to 3000 on 4/27. My TPW is 8/23.

I was around 170 on the allocation list in april...assuming i was already at the end of production list.

My dealer told me essentially the same thing. I was asking about a courtesy delivery after production control accepted my order because I was residing in Florida for the winter.

I totally get why GM doesn't like you to make changes after an order has been accepted. It would make production a chaotic nightmare. The Corvette is still a mass-produced car.
