The first half of the garage make over is finished. Next Friday, cabinets go in and I get to put away the mess. The color choices were to mimic the C8.
That’s gorgeous. What product was used and did you put additives in it for the design?
Epoxy primer. White epoxy base coat. The blue is a blue metallic powder in an epoxy with alcohol mix that is spread with a squeegee to make the desired pattern (the installer walks on the wet epoxy floor with spiked shoe platforms). That dries for > 24 hours and then a clear epoxy top coat is applied. The base coat and accent comes in a lot of colors. The installer starts the process with a large diamond grinder to rough up the surface. My garage had to be done in two stages since I was not going to store the work cabinets and lift outside the garage. The C8 side was done first. After it cured, the stuff was moved back to the C8 side and the other side was done. That has a drawback in that there is a demarcation between the two epoxy coats. But you don't notice it unless you are looking.
I remodeled my small 2 car garage over July and man am I happy, I just added 450sq feet to my home and now have a climate controlled garage that is as cool as the house in the middle of an AZ summer. So happy with the remodel I will be doing the same to my 1100 sq foot garage early next year.
I am in the Lakewood Ranch area as well. Who did your garage floor?
Euro Painting. PM me and I will give you their particulars or you can just Google them. They painted my entire house inside and out and did a great job.
