I thought about mounting my radar detector above the rear speaker between the seats and putting a radar transparent cover on it. You will need a remote display if you do this. In the end I decided I didn't want to go through the effort and mounted it above the infotainment screen.

There is a fuse box below the rear center speaker and there is switched power available.

Below is a pic of my plan had it not been found IF you could tape the mirror. Even bought the right angle plug for the 12 volt receptacle under the passenger dash. A week or so before my C8 arrived someone found it was safe to tap the mirror on 2LT's and 3LTs with the camera mirror. The 1LT is different and don't know that the wires to tap have been identified.

The routing was to put my detector on the windshield as high as possible to the right of the mirror. That is where I had it on my 2014 Z51 and 2017 grand Sport. Until I had a chance to get the Blendmount wire kit I just plugged the detector into that receptacle and installed low on the windshield. It shuts off with the engine.
