Is it even pssoible to jack up a C8 with a floor jack and then place a jack stand under it? I know there are specific lift points and it is recommended to use pucks so you know excatly where the lift points are. If you want to work under the car I guess you could use two floor jacks and jack stands, that are not in contact, for safety only.
RennStands by SafeJack do exactly what you want. Check them out. The jack stand goes right where you jack it as part of the jack stand goes on top of the floor jack.
I just sold my pair today, as I have a QuickJack now. Google them. I can't post a link to them as they are not a vendor.
You pick the correct adaptor lift plate that sits on the top bar and has a pin on both sides. It goes into the same hole on the car that you would put your lifting puck, but this goes there instead as part of the top, hormonal bar. Once jacked up, you assemble the two side plates with pins and lower your floor jack down and remove it. SIMPLE, great design.

Reason: added pic of completed rear end of car
the jackpoint stands are the fastest way and are solid !
the way i do it is a little involved if you need to remove your wheels.
1) lift front wheels with 2 floor jacks
2) i then put race ramp cribs under tires
3) then i put my powerbuilt jack/lift under pucks ... link is below for stand
4) reverse to get car on ground

Cheaper than the fancy special jack combo jack stand is a bit more time consuming but works using GM designated jack stand support locations:
However you need to safely remove the aero panel bolts which I would not do using 2 jacks and jack pads. So would use stanchions. Can buy a pair for ~$150 or make them as I did for my 2014 Z51 and have used for 8 years. Made from a 12 foot 2X6 and plywood but could use a 2X8 if you want to have it higher. Mine, about 7 inches high, are enough for changing oil etc. At the time I built mine for ~$10 and some 3/4 inch plywood I had. Today wood prices have increased! Would use wheel stanchions to safely remove aero panel bolts. Then jack as high as needed (I would use 2 jacks and progressively lift each side) and install Jack Stands on the GM specified frame supports.
I also used them to install my side skirts. Needed access to the bottom of the rocker panels so a lift etc would not have been useful to get the drill clearence needed. Wheel stanchions were perfect.
This all seems like a lot of trouble. I love my QuickJack and I’ve only used it a few times now. For ~$1200 it solves all these problems and as a bonus it’s easier to store than a collection of jacks and stands and ramps and chocks.

I don't even know where to begin in disputing almost everything in this post. In terms of cost, it's like your saying what's another $500 if you're already spending $700.
Well I guess that's exactly what I am saying. You just spent $80k or so on a car, you aren't hurting for the money. Those jack stands are not cheap either. And a little more money solves a problem with multiple benefits. I was just saying that IMO I was glad I spent the money on the Quick Jacks over separate jacks and stands, or building wooden tire cribs. So I thought I would share that with the group, I didn't mean to offend anyone, it was just a suggestion. You do you!
Waiting for the QuickJackmodel 5000 TLS (Corvette C8 compatible) to make it's appearance in the marketplace: "What about the extended-length models?
The 5000TLX, 7000TLX, and 6000ELX models are not yet ready from production. Current ETA on these models is sometime in October 2021."

I am the OP for this thread and truly appreciate all of the ideas. There are products that I did not even know existed. Thanks to all!
Just a couple of other options that don't require a significant investment and provide the clearance needed in a number of situations. Shown in pics below:
Changed the brake pads in the rear as well as the front by placing my stanchions under the lower "A" arm. Note: Although I changed my front pads, as I did my early 2014 Z51 that also had strong double side brake tape- I suggest it's safer removing the caliper that can be done by lifting higher to remove the 155 ft-lb bolts that hold it. Would use the two step process I outlined above to place jack stands under the GM defined "support" locations.
Have used jack stands under the lower a "A Arm" over my safely jacking cars in the past 65 years! As I often have done with my 6 Vette, will frequently leave the jack(s) (and jack pads) with some tension when using a lower "A Arm" or even jack stands on frame members for extra safety. I typically use two jacks and lift progressively on each side. Recently bought this short Jack Stand for ~$10

Well to be fair, that's for the new "extra height" models. I have the old ones, and at max height there is plenty of room under them for pretty much anything you want to do on your back in a garage. 3 more inches isn't going to make much difference. You can still buy the current production models in stock now, and they fit the C8.
That being said, I got my 7000SLX from Home Depot when it was on sale for $1200, and I had a 20% off coupon, so it was super cheap. I also did not get the EXT version as I didn't need it at the time. There was a thread about this, and the SLX length will work, but if I was buying a new one today I would get the 5000EXT. But Home Depot doesn't seem to have any more EXT versions available, only the standard length. Direct purchase from QJ is more expensive... $1550, which I am sure will get me slammed for making another expensive suggestion. And if you are going to spend that much, then you may as well wait for October and get the new extra height model. Or go with the standard length from HD, find a coupon code for it, and save about $500.
