Default C8 Build Time

As Chevrolet is going live with their new 2022 Corvette Build & Price Tool on September 14, I plan to finally customize my new 2022 C8 order and send it right away to my dealer MacMulkin as I do have an order with my deposit with them since last February, and I am at #17 on their 2022 allocation order list.
If anyone here would know what may happen if MacMulkin really does have allocations and places my order with Chevrolet as soon as they receive my customized C8 list, and lets assume that Chevrolet does accept my order.......how long will a logical expected time be for my order to be built?
Thanks for helping.

It's impossible to predict. All the allocations for all the dealers go into GM, and BGA decides on the production sequence to make the most efficient use of the production line. BGA doesn't know or care how long you've been waiting for an allocation. So you car could be the first one built in that month's batch of allocations, or the last, or somewhere in between. And depending on limitations on parts supplies, you position in line could change. Possibly more than once. (As an example, say your order includes the front end lift and GM schedules your build tentatively for the 2nd week of production for that batch of orders. Then they find out the supplier of the pump for the FEL is going to be late delivering the parts. Your order will probably get pushed back.)

And of course it depends on how many allocations and orders go in for that cycle. It could be 2 weeks worth of production, or 6 weeks worth of production. If your car is built in the first week, you'll get it a lot sooner than if it's built in the 6th week.

Thanks DSOMrulz. As it is getting closer I am getting excited and anxious to have an approximate date.
Assuming my order goes smoothly without delays, no parts shortage, then when would you guess that my order might be built?
I am looking at the best case scenario, I am being an optimist.

July orders have September TPWs. So, it is reasonable to guess that August orders will have October TPWs. If the nationwide allocation numbers are large, the TPWs could easily go into November.

Thanks Zymurgy.
I guess only time will tell on what really may happen.
I am sure that I am not the only one waiting anxiously, it just has taken a lot longer than anticipated.
I will share here when I hear more news and what is really happening with me which I hope might help others here.

The latest date we have is from a memo to dealers from GM that states the week of 9/6 for the start of 2022 production. July allocations were very few, so (pure guess), only a couple of weeks to build them all? So Augustf allocation builds could start as early as the week of 9/20. Emphasis on could. Also, lots of assumptions in my guess. No one outside of GM knows how many July allocations there were, just that there weren't very many. It could be the 2 weeks I guessed, could be more. And 22 production beginning the week of 9/6 could mean 9/7 (the 6th is a holiday) or could mean the 10th. Or GM could miss that date altogether and MY22 production not start until the following week.

But we still don't know how long until your car gets loaded onto a truck for delivery, (the company has up to 10 days), or how long it will take to get to your dealer.

Thanks again DSOMrulz for all your kind informative help.
Looks like I have to be patient and wait for my dealer, MacMulkin, to contact me and guide me.
But it looks like I should have my new 2022 C8 delivered this year, right?

That seems very likely, I think.

Are you sure February? I gave MacMillian a deposit beginning of January and I’m 25 or so behind you. Maybe they made a mistake somewhere?
I mean February and 17 you jumped ahead of a lot of us. I mean not your fault. I consider you lucky. Like I said I’m right behind you.

Yes John, please clarify. Did you place your deposit during February of 2020 or 2021?

I see the confusion and I need to clarify, I have been on the order list for a 2021 C8 from summer of last year, but when I heard of the issues and recalls on the C8 I got very concerned and decided that it will be prudent of me and play it safer to wait longer and get the 2022 hoping and wishing that Chevrolet would have fixed all their issues.I did not want any headaches.
It was last February that I took this action.
I decided to be patient and reduce my risk of having any issues.
I really hope that the new 2022 will be trouble free and all found weaknesses and bugs have been fixed.
Of course being patient is costing me a lot of time and money, the C8 prices keep going up.
