Took museum delivery of the C8 at NCM last Thursday, August 12th and just drove it back home to the San Francisco Bay Area!
Thank you MacMulkin Chevrolet - Tommy Jr and team!

Forum members,
Any suggestions on how to wash the car after my cross-country drive? Don't want to take it so soon to a car wash.
I wouldn’t take it to a car wash at all. Just use two bucket method with a new mitt and your favorite car wash. I personally use a dryer. The less often you touch the paint the better
Yes. Owners manual says no automatic car washes. Car is low and rear tires too wide. Damage at the car wash will not be covered by the car wash owner or possibly chevy warranty. Only car wash acceptable IMO is one where you pull into a wash bay and power soap, rinse your car. But hand washing is best.

Either wash it yourself using a spotless water system, buckets with filters and a few sponges, or take it over to AJ’s off Coleman near the airport. They are the only car wash I trust.

Never use a car wash. Even states that in the manual. I use a Chemical Guys foam gun on my home pressure washer wipe with a microfiber mitt then rinse and dry. My car is coated with Chemical Guys glaze. Car wash soaps and chemicals are too harsh and will dull your finish. Brshes will cause small scratches.
Congrats! Wash it early and often. Everyone has their favorites. I prefer Macguiars line of products and you can usually pick them up locally at AutoZone or Pep Boys or Amazon.
