Default Spring Mountain transportation

Just an FYI in case anyone needs it.

I live 10 minutes from Spring Mountain racetrack.
Living in Pahrump sometimes presents challenges, like getting to and from McCarran airport in Las Vegas, like when you don't want to leave your car in long term parking..
I occasionally use the services of a very nice local lady for transport back and forth to McCarran (and other places in Vegas as needed).
Her name is Debbie. She runs a transit shuttle back and forth. She has a later model mid sized SUV and her rates are quite reasonable, compared to Lyft/Uber or Cabs (all of which are outrageous).
Debbie. Pahrump transport. 702-742-6283
Her rates are about $70.00 per single or couple, each way. If you have more than 2, ask her for a discount for the extras. There may be a fuel adjustment based on current high gas prices here (currently about $3.75 a gal), but ask her.
With the current shortage of rental cars at McCarran (the past 2 months have been crazy) and the sometimes very high prices, I thought I'd put this out there for anyone who is attending Spring Mountain for the 2 day Corvette course. While having a rental car is preferred, it's NOT an absolute necessity. Spring Mountain is pretty much self contained and the only real need need to go into Pahrump is for after hours dining and drinking. There is a local cab company.
So, for anyone interested.

I just went last month and can say that I paid around $350 after taxes etc for the rental car. It also added a bunch of time getting to and from the rental facility on both ends of the trip. Please consider the above option. I stayed in condo C8 and could have very easily walked or borrowed rides from other attendees during my stay. There are condos much farther from the clubhouse that may have presented an issue. I would say in most cases you would be ok. Going off site for dinners would be another issue to consider.

We were in the White classroom this week (Monday and Tuesday) and used the East Bowl section of track. Both are on the Far East end of the property. Unless someone is giving you a lift from the clubhouse to the classroom and back, I don’t think you could walk it in the time allotted. We were also in the “C” condos and you could walk to the clubhouse I suppose, but I wouldn’t consider that very convenient. I don’t think the other condo buildings would be walkable. Spring Mountain insists that a car is required on the property and I would have to agree. We made a road trip out of it and drove the Corvette from Central Texas to Pahrump. We are visiting family in the Las Vegas area and will be heading back to Texas next week.

same here. Was In the C condos and the classroom near the dining room. I don’t think walking would have been an option for most people, especially when the track was in use and you have to use the tunnel. Best to just rent a car or at least buddy up and a couple people rent a car together. I was able to get a compact rental at the Las Vegas airport for $250 for 4 days from Hertz. It was a POS, but it was a car.

Thank you @16falcon and @srobert910 for chiming in. I am going next weekend and was debating the same. I contacted Debbie btw...she's very nice but the logistics of Fellows don't think will work.

I am sticking with my Sixt Mystery Premium car rental for $270 bucks taxes included.
