Just happened to take this pix at a local Covette Show. Wow, that's some evolution. The other thing that surprised me in this photo is that, when walking around, the C1 looks small to me. But looking at the photo it looks strangely large. Anyway, would not mind having this pair at all!
My Wife is always saying my C1 is way too small. It sits a lot lower than the one in the picture.
My TPW is 8-30 (next week) for a 2021 HTC in Mist Red. Can't wait to take a picture nose to nose with them!

The funny part is people complain about TR for being to Orange..... Look at the original red! BTW C1 probably can't get 2 golf bags in the back.😂😂😂

In that same time period, F1 cars went from being smaller than the C1 to being larger than the C8
I think the key to size illusion is how big cars are from bottom to top from a side view. (think a modern camaro versus a classic camaro) Older cars tend to have a gap near the ground before aero was further developed. I will say C1 was a small car aimed obviously at Europe. The C2 cabin feels the best to me for an old-school sports car. The C3 started to shift into the "laying in the car" phase. By the time c4 arrived, I look back at how much much that car could have been a death trap. C5 and up are just modern cabins and overhangs.
