has any one else noticed a really bad chemical smell inside their cabin. I do live in Texas and I’m sure my garage is always above 100f, but the smell doesn’t go away. It’s even strong from the boot.
I’ve of low quality C7 issues with the glue they used. I wasn’t expecting any C8 similar issues.
Curious if anyone else has found a cure that lives in the southern states. It’s getting to the point my wife won’t go in the car
In C7s there was a warranty fix called "after blow." This blew out the accumulated precipitation in the cabin cooling fins, for a fresher cabin smell. Check with your Chevrolet dealer.

That odor seems to be something from the engine compartment and it goes away rather quickly with use/miles. Nothing like previous Corvette glue smell. We are at 2XXX miles and the interior smells like leather/new car. Best smelling Corvette we have ever owned going back to C4s.
How many miles? If it’s low miles you may still be burning off some of the engine oils from the factory. If not, take it to the dealer…or buy an air freshener.
Just hit 500+ miles, need to drive it more I guess and see how it goes.
Let’s see how the cooler months go and do more more miles
Really burning it off helps a ton. Now that your over the 500 miles, really give it some beans and get the exhaust and brakes and stuff good and hot. A couple cycles and the smell really dies off.
I have an HTC and the "new car smell" did get overpowering. I have left the car with the top down while parked in the garage and often leave a window open to vent. It has helped. Also be sure to run your AC on outside air and no recirculate. I have had this happen on another car and I often turned off recirculate so I don't get it in this car.

My HTC has the cabin smell .. like burnt oil, exhaust and fiberglass smell. It took about 1500 miles before it went away. I picked my HTC in Jan so there was no real hot weather for the first 1500 miles.
I had all sorts of smells wafting into the cabin during my early months of ownership. It goes away.
7400 miles now (bought car in Nov) and only leather smells remain.
I do notice given how low we are and where the cabin air intake is located that if I'm in traffic behind a truck or other semi high SUV that may have some engine issues... I smell all of it.
The fiberglass/Polyester Resin smell is from coatings burning off exhaust components. The odor rises up through rainwater drains on the sides of the rear trunk. When the hood is lifted the action pulls the odor up through the drains. To a lesser extent, it gets pulled into the cabin, as well. It has diminished over time. I currently have 1400 miles and there is still a hint of it. To mitigate the odor in the cabin I set the ventilation to bring in outside air instead of cabin air recirculation. This worked well during the early miles of driving. It gets better.
