Default C8 Recovery Hook

I wanted to know if anyone has ordered on the C8 the recovery hook by GM which they sell it for $95 any suggestions? Thank you

May as well get the OEM one as by the time you add shipping to the vendor's tow hook posted above you are at the same price point.

I love all the aftermarket ones basically made from hardware store parts and zero actual strength or durability testing

Standard threads. Here is photo of mine I just received from Amazon. I don't know what is behind the car insert but it screws in just fine. Mine is a bit long but that was what Amazon had from that vendor that was acceptable price to me. 10" long one had to ship from vendor and they charge shipping. hope will never need it. As said below, 3/4" will fit but loosely. So might or might not work in need situtation.

Thread is metric, M20x2.5 I am pretty sure. 3/4 x 10 will "fit" but i wouldn't trust it. 3/4" is only 19mm so it will not fully engage the 20mm diameter receiver. I hate to spend $100 dollars on a 20x2.5 OEM tow hook when 3/4x10 are $20, but just not worth the chance of failure.
