Hello, all! Newbie here. I am taking delivery of my long-awaited '21 Stingray... finally! We live too far away from NCM to simply drive home, that and we all know how brutal I-65 is. That being said, they gave me the names of several transportation companies and am looking for recommendations. TIA and looking forward to hearing from you guys. Cheers!
Intercity Transport is hands down the best, and a forum search will confirm that. They take the worry out of auto transport, buy staying in contact wit you every step of the way.
I checked with Intercity, and they replied that have no routes running this direction (Pensacola), as well as not having anyone they could recommend. I did receive a response from Nationwide, and seems reasonable. NCM sent a list of carriers, but so far, only 2 have responded.
PlyCar and Reliable also have good reps. Forum dealer Criswell ships all their long-distance deliveries with PlyCar. Someone else here just had their car picked up at NCM by PlyCar.
They are all probably pretty busy right now with the nationwide shortage of vehicles and so many moving around.
I am waiting for Plycar to pick up my car at NCM tomorrow and shipping it back to me in Southern California. They have terminals in NY, California and Florida. I suggest you just call their Florida office directly and get a quote, that's what I did and I got a good price.
I've used this company twice for cross country moves, they did my C7 and my wife's car both times in an enclosed transport, and no issues either time. Drivers were right on time, cars arrived in the same condition they left, etc. My wife used to be in the commercial moving business (HP, Microsoft, American Airlines, etc.) and this is who they always used for executives' vehicles as well. https://acmecarshipping.com/

I’m from Destin. I’ve actually picked up a car in Louisville, stopped at the Museum in bowling green for a few hours and made it home that night. It’s really not a bad drive at all.
The drive isn't all that bad, it's just I don't want the paint destroyed on 65! It's rough. Reliable came back with a decent estimate, but said that it's carrier convenience and could take 1-5 weeks. Ouch...

I agree about I-65. When we lived outside of Chicago I would get on it in Indiana and take it until I got on I-24 on my way back "home" to Atlanta. That's a busy interstate. You can buy a Novi-strech bra for the drive home and take back roads. Remember you have a 500 mile break-in period and by the time you get home you would be finished with it. My only caution is that Chevrolet doesn't recommend driving at the same speeds or using cruise control the first 500 miles. I would drive it and plan some interesting back road excursions so you can get off the interstate. The trucking industry is very busy right now and it is going to take them a longer time to get your car to you.

That's probably the only drawback with Intercity in that they don't seem to run as many routes as some. That's most likely part of their success is that they don't over-extend themselves.
I've used Reliable as well, had no issues with them, other then lacking in communication and not as punctual with pickup.
I'd recommend staying away from brokers as you often don't know who actually has your car. May be on and off loaded multiple times to different carriers and even be left on a lot for days awaiting secondary pickups.
It's too late for that since the delivery sounds imminent. The choice of delivery option is locked in when the order is finalized at 3000, and OP clearly selected NCM.
The same thing happened to a poster a week or so ago, when he was expecting a summer delivery at NCM, it didn't happen because of production delays, and he can no longer make the trip because of work. He reported that Shane at NCM helped him coordinate a PlyCar delivery.
C8-Bob, I'm in PNS why is NCM too far to drive home? I plan on just that but will use alternate routing rather than I-65. That to avoid CC and continued steady speed mostly.

Yes, that was me. I flew into Nashville on Sunday, took delivery on Monday morning and flew home to SoCal in the afternoon. Plycar picked up the car this morning and OnStar shows the car is on the I-70 outside of Kansas City. It has traveled 500 miles so far today with about 1,650 miles to go. With any luck, I may see the car on Monday.

buy some track wrap on Amazon, wrap the front of the car in the parking lot and drive it home. Track wrap works really well and it’s inexpensive. As others have mentioned you can also take some other routes. There aren’t many carriers that will have consistent routes to Northwest Florida and even if you could change to a courtesy delivery, I don’t know of any dealerships nearby that would help you out.
