Just DRIVE the thing... despite all it's a GM car. I've used my Vettes as daily drivers; no big deal. All the best and ENJOY!

Ceramic coating does nothing to prevent rock chips. It protects against bird droppings, sap, etc. For a DD I would do PPF on the front of the car. I have never had a car where I have applied windshield protection, but recently at car shows I have been seeing it and it is difficult to tell it is present. Given I typically get 1 windshield a year on one of my cars. I would seriously consider that-especially on low cars. As for the front bumper openings, yes, some kind of screening to protect what is being cooled. I also try to find OEM mud guards, if they look good, to try to keep crap from getting all over the sides of the car and rock chipping the areas behind the wheels. I want to give the car a fighting chance to remain looking as new as possible.

I have a 2016 Audi S3 with 75K miles on it and it still looks new. Here in CA with all of the horrible roads that is no small feat.

Wash the car regularly and deal with damage every day.

Or drive it like you stole it and when it's dirty, get another

I'm not really a daily driver (sorry), but I have only one car which is my C8 and I use it for whatever I need to use a car, for instance, for going to grocery stores, cheap restaurants or picking up foods, whatever. What I'm mostly worried about is when parking at narrow spaces. Ceramic coating would not help for cases some one slams your car with their doors. You may want PPF films to have better protection for those cases. That may still not be perfect but would be much better than ceramic coating. I wanted it but it's too expensive for me so I gave up. Other than that, I have all weather floor mats in my trunk and frunk just in case so I can wipe out easily when something is leaked from grocery or food bags. My frunk sometime smells like toe lol under very warm weather, though I don't think I have something spilt in there. It might be better to have those all weather mats or like water proof trunk organizers etc for extra cautions. Or just keeping some garbage bags is enough to wrap stuff to avoid getting leaks.

Used the same ceramic coat you did. Drove down to Autogeek and spoke with Mike Phillips. Great product to use, especially on new paint. No clay bar and polishing necessary before coating.

I have daily driven all my Vettes. Honestly I just treat them like any other car only a lot more fun to drive. They will get dings and scratches and it’s not worth worrying about. I ended up putting 160k miles on my C5 z06 and the guy I sold it to had rolled it over 300k miles last I saw him and it still looks presentable.

Nope, it’s pretty much ready right out of the box…and I’m case you want to take it to the track, it’s ready for that too.

The price for these grill guards is at least 10 times too much. I’ll pass.
