Default Event Code 2000

Does Event Code 2000 mean that an order has allocation and that is why Chevrolet accepted this order?
If not, then at what Event Code number a customer is assured that his order has proper allocation and all is great now with their order?
Thanks a lot.

Yes, event code 2000 means your dealer has assigned an allocation to your order. You will be at 3000 by next Wednesday.

You are great Zymurgy, I loved reading your answer.
What timeline do you foresee for my order? Is it possible to estimate my TPW? Or when do you estimate for my built to be completed? Or is it too early yet?

A concern I have is about some paint defects on C8 models, I read it here:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...t-defects.html

Has these paint issues been fixed? I really hope so.
Thanks again for your great help.

Definitely too early to tell when your TPW might be. This allocation cycle was much larger than the last 2 or 3, so TPWs will likely cover a longer time period. No way to know where you will fall into that time period.

Don't obsess over every problem you read about on forums. By their nature, forums attract people reporting problems. It is possible that your car could have a problem (including a paint problem), but the chances are really much smaller than reading forums would lead you to believe.

Thanks a lot for helping.
During this uncertain production times we all have to be patient.

My order with Criswell went 2000 today, told 3000 by 9/22. Mike is estimating 8 weeks, but I would think he would always be very conservative so maybe it could be quicker than that? Hope so but then it has been 13 months so a few more weeks is not a big deal (well it is LOL) but at least now things are moving, static for so long it is a huge win.
Be safe

OP, if you read all of the Thread by Spokewrench, he said in another post that he has an eye for paint flaws and has painted several corvettes. I took delivery of a Torch Red C8 in July of 21. I have checked out the paint in direct sunlight and have not noticed any paint flaws whatsoever. If they are any, I can't see them. The body panel's fit is better than I have sceen on any corvette. Consumer Reports gave the C8 good remarks about it's fit and finish. Get ready for a great car.

Same here. I have red mist, and I think paint imperfections would be hard to hide with that color. I can't find any imperfections anywhere. Of course, I am not a paint expert either, just a picky owner.......you are definitely on your way at 2000. Now the wait is the hardest because it's real now. You are actually in the system, and that car is going to get built. continue to be patient. I know my TPW got extended because of 3 weeks of shutdowns, so anything can happen....

they have had a great track record of many consistent production weeks without interruption, so let's hope that continues, but just be ready to expect the unexpected......your wait is almost over and oh boy, are you going to love this car......
