Default Splash Guards

I have narrowed down my list of splash guards in carbon flash to

1. Extreme Online Store at $309.99 for set of 4 and

2. ACS at 499.99 for set of 4.

Has anyone been able to do a comparison between the two brands, and if so,
did you prefer one over the other ?

Crazy prices. Use your GM reward points and get them from GM.

There is one school of thought that believes, when the option is available, the car should be as OEM as possible. I sorta favor this. I understand the car can be a canvas for personal expression and all. Good luck with the new guards. Post a pic on this thread so we can see them. I love seeing how other owners make their cars their own!

Get 'em from GM, if ever available, and paint them to match your car.

I purchasing the Extreme Online C8 XL Extended Splash Guards for my C8. I feel they are similar to what ACS has to offer for $200 less.

The carbon flash finish looks waaay better than the GM textured plastic & the XL Extended shape offers more protection, but still blends in seamlessly.

I’m very happy with my purchase.

While that “may” be true, they don’t stock anything.
Sure it says “in stock”on their web site, but you’ll end up waiting 6-8 weeks for it.

According to ACS, the EOS version is a copy of the ACS version that is made in China. You can buy either one, but the ACS version is the original and should be of better quality. It all depends on if you want yet another company to rip off an original design and make it in China for less $$$.

Where did ACS claim that theirs was the original? They're not the same, by the way. The ACS splash guards extend further out and have more coverage. Also, the EOS version came out at least 6 months before the ACS version was available, so how could they have copied them?

I got my information directly from ACS. I apologize if the information was not accurate, just repeating what I was told by ACS. I have purchased from ACS in the past and they do great work, so did not have any reason to doubt their claim.

I would have bought the splash guards from ACS if they were available at the time as I think that they make better quality products ( I have their A51 wickers), but it would really be hard for them to claim that the EOS C8 splash guards are copies of theirs since they're not only different, but came out 6-7 months before the ACS ones. I think the EOS ones were available in Jan 2021 (I got my EOS splash guards in Feb) and the ACS splash guard announcement email came out at the end of July. Maybe ACS was referring to EOS copying their C7 splash guards. I'm not familiar with either, but that's what I'm guessing they might have been referring to.

I have the EOS ones, but if I had to choose between EOS and ACS now, I'd pick ACS as they provide even more protection than the EOS ones. I still get rocks thrown back and peppering my rockers with the EOS ones installed, which provide much better protection than the OEM extended splash guards. The OEM extended splash guards are woefully inadequate if you have aftermarket wheels with lower offset, sticky tires, and drive in the canyons or anywhere with small rocks around.
