Default 2022 allocation

This is my first post to this forum. The information provided is incredible! I got an allocation for a 2022 HTC on September and the order was placed with the dealer on Sept 10. I am still at 1100. I spoke with my dealer and she says that is normal. Shouldn't I have gone to 2000 by Tuesday the 14th if the allocation was matched with the order? Something just doesn't seem right. Thank you for your help!

Are you sure about the dates? The most recent cycle was just this past week, with allocations assigned to orders by Saturday. All those orders should now be at 2000 and will be 3000 by this Wednesday.

doesnt sound right. Do you have your gm workbench order number? If so, you can go to the chevy website, bottom of the page, click the chat bubble and ask them your order status. If they don’t have it, your dealer has given you incorrect information.

I do have the order number and used that to do Chevy chat last Saturday. They said no allocation with the order. I just heard from the corvette concierge and he says I am still at 1100. So order went in a week ago Saturday and I am still at 1100. Thought I'd be at 2000 by now. Thanks for the response!

What dealer was it? If they actually had an allocation for you it should be at 2000. I'd check with whoever your dealer is and see what's going on.

I have checked twice with the dealer. She says that nothing is "normal" right now. It just doesn't seem right. If the order was done correctly I should be at 2000 by now. Thanks for the input.

I placed my allocated order on Saturday 9/11 and as of this morning I am still at 1100. Dealer/sales guy (Classic Sugarland) said he expects to see movement this week….

That's interesting. My allocated order was placed on Sept 10 and I am at 1100. Looks like I'm not the only one. My dealer is Moran's in MI. Thank you.

Both very fishy. When an order is assigned an allocation it goes to 2000 almost immediately. It will be at 3000 by the following Wednesday. Any order assigned an allocation in the past few days should be at 2000. That is "normal" and has been the case all through these "unusual" times.

Placed my order last Tuesday. I just checked and I'm at 1100 also through the Chevrolet.com site (Chat).

Correction... a window just popped up that said "event description 2000". The first person was wrong, I guess.

Did your dealer assign an allocation to it? An order will sit at 1100 forever unless/until an allocation is assigned to it.

She said she did but I don't know how she could have if I'm still at 1100

Just heard from dealer. "Yes, we have earned enough allocations to accommodate your order, they just haven't pulled the orders yet." So that would seem to mean an allocation was not placed with my order, hence the 1100 status. Not quite sure what this means.

How many allocations did your dealer get for MY 2020? For MY 2021? What number are you on their waitlist? With an order date of 9/5/2020, that was a 2021 order which is no longer valid. New orders must be entered for MY 2022.

you need to ask your dealer the right questions. If you are #4 and they only get 1 corvette a year… you’re going to be waiting a long time. If they get 3 a year, you will probably get one this year.

so confirm that you are currently #4 On their list. Ask them how many allocations they expect for 2022. Ask how many 2021 cars they received. Make sure they are not putting other people ahead of you that might pay more. (Be sly with how you ask that one). Lastly, ask if you still paying the agreed upon pricing from when you placed your deposit. If they can’t or won’t answer these questions, start looking for another dealership to work with. Maybe keep your deposit with your dealer for now, but have another plan in the works.
