I bought my 21 there and dealt with Kurt a good guy and up front. Paid MSRP, taxes and doc fees and no surprises.
Stasek is good to deal with and a sponsor here. I'll buy from them again.

Vince is good and like Kurt Corvette guys. I ordered my car in June of 2020 and came in early March 2021. I hope this helps.

Deposit early February this year position 135th. Last update I got was 98th on their list. They haven’t received any ‘22 allocations yet this year. Thinking the two C8’s they had in inventory really did a number on their ADS standing but Vince told me to “trust my own sources” 🙃. Thank god for these forums, otherwise I probably would have still been in the dark only on Staseks list. Was not impressed when I visited in person and considered at that time to just pull my deposit, but for now I’ll stay hedged.

My general impression of Chicago dealers, is they are all dirtbags. I know there are a few good ones, but as a whole the Chicago dealers will screw you, so you either have to be on high alert and read everything and trust no one. I’ve bought 9 Vettes (going on 10 w/ a TPW of 10/11) and 8 have been out of town / state.

‘Wow! Seriously? And to think that Stasek is the highest volume Corvette dealer in Chicago… which isn’t saying much. I think Crisswell and Maculkin do more in a month what Stasek does in a year.

I also bought my 2021 HTC there and dealt with Kurt after the initial guy I was dealing with left. Paid MSRP and no surprises. I put deposit down in August 2020 and received car February 2021.I don’t feel I was misled along the process which included UAW strike and COVID delays. I would buy from them again. I can’t speak for their allocations.

I initially dealt with Vince when I purchased my C7 there. From the moment I ordered it until I had to come in to pay for it, Vince was nowhere to be found. Unreturned phone calls and ignored emails. I ended up working with the GM to complete the deal.
I got my C8 from MacMulkin. I would not recommend Stasek to anyone who asks.

He’s been generally pretty responsive to my emails, so perhaps that’s changed since your C7. But the near passive aggressive responses from some of my questions was off putting. Plus only being told in person that there is mandatory vin etching, god knows what other add ons / fees and “we will not negotiate the doc fee” is what made me put in a MM deposit the same day. Had I put a deposit in with MM when I did stasek, I would already have a car. 😔

This is the kind of shady sh*t I have no patience or respect for. Sorry you lost time on them but by reputation, know you are in the right spot now.

I’d buy from one of the big three out east. Staesek can’t compete in terms of allocations. Who knows what will happen with the new owners.

Hopefully not much, when did this happen? I know I heard news of Mr Stasek himself dying a few years back, has there been new ownership since after that was settled? I guess I was in that chunk of allocations as I put in my build deposit on Thursday. I was repeatedly informed in emails that the sale is at MSRP, that they have removed the vin etching as a requirement for purchase, and even had a buyers order drafted up which stated no added fees besides the doc fee. Hopefully no games when it comes time to sign paperwork. I'm still holding my macmulkin deposit for the time being. It somewhat seems Vince has changed tone since the last time I've posted, maybe its just coincidental.

I have to say I have been very pleased with Stasek and Vince. He has been very responsive to my phone calls, text, and emails. I placed my deposit on July 10, 2021 and last Thursday I went to 2000. I hope to have my c8 some time in January of 2022. That would be 6 months from deposit to delivery.

I purchased my 2017 C7 new from Bill Stasek, and had a great experience with Bob Clegg. Also had great experience with service, however, after Bill Stasek died, I noticed a difference in service. More of an emphasis on upselling, which was a bit of a put off. Anyway, when I decided to look into purchasing a 2021 C8, I tried to contact Stasek. I found out that BIll Clegg had left, and that Vince was their Corvette Specialist. I send Vince a number of e-mails and a phone message. Did not hear back. In the mean time I sent an e-mail to MacMulkin, and received a response in less than an hour. I put a deposit with MM on 9/24/20. About a few days later I heard from Vince. He was sorry for not getting back to me. Anyway, I asked him on the number of allocations that Stasek gets, and he was vague, but got the distinct impression that the number of people on his list was much greater than the number of allocations that he expected. He did tell me that I would be on the priority list, since I had purchased my C7 from them. The price of the car would be at MSRP, plus doc fee and a mandatory ETCH fee. I ended up putting a deposit down. To make a long story short, Vince called me in Feb and stated that I could possibly get a Feb allocation, I already knew that I would be a March allocation with MM. I ended up passing on the Feb allocation with Stasek and went with MM. I just felt more comfortable with MM, and I always knew when I stood. Did not feel that with Stasek. Vince is very nice, but I always felt his answers were vague, and I paid less for the car at MM, then I would have at Stasek, since MM has no doc fee or ETCH fee. I take my C8 for service at Martin Chevy. They have a Certified Master Corvette Tech. Not sure if Stasek still has one or not. When I went on Stasek's website, yesterday, it looked different, almost generic looking. I was wondering if they had sold. I know Jeremy Stasek was a relatively young guy, wonder what the back story is.

ArbyC8,

He a few questions....1) where did you learn of the VIN etching. I never heard that was a purchase requirement. You said you just put down your build deposit on Thursday. When did you put the first $1000 down? Do you know where you started on the list? Lastly, I've been working with Vince, what do you mean by his tone has changed?

So you put a deposit down on 7/10/21? Do you know where you started on the wait list? When did you go to 1100? I ask since put my deposit down late May '21 and have not been given a timeline for even 1100. Not sure why you would jump ahead of me. Are you a prior customer?

I bought my 2021 C8 from Phillips Chevy in Frankfort. It took 10 months to arrive. This was my 4th corvette from them. Never had any problems with them, never. They are not Dirtbags.

C598C82:

When I put down my deposit in July I was told that because I purchased my C7 from them I would be put on there fast track list for a C8. I went to 1100 in mid September, am now at 2000 and should go to 3000 in the next few weeks.
