2022 Red Mist Nat Dipped 3 LT HTC is built. Waiting on the train to load it up. Dealer says it travels the low route BG to Phoenix. Passes through Tucson on the way. Off loaded in Phoenix and trucked back to Tucson. Frequent rider miles I guess? But stoked to say the least. Have an Apsis USA carbon fiber steering wheel on order that is still a month out. And the OEM style splash guards have been in the garage cabinet for months. But all is coming together at long last.
I thought GM was still using trucks to transport all cars.
I just read a West Coast delivery thread that suggested all deliveries were via truck. I certainly wouldn't argue that. Our sales guy told me we had aTPW 9/13 but the factory wasn't producing cars. Chip shortage eh? On the day BG built 176 cars. 850 that week. So his dope is just that. Truth, I'd prefer once onto a truck once off a truck. Fewer chances for an oops.
I saw a post from someone in the Bay area of CA and they said their car arrived by truck.
Well of course all of them will eventually arrive by truck. I guess the question remains whether or not they arrive at a depot via train and then get trucked to their dealers.

Bowling Green is producing cars. No chip shortage in Bowling Green.

Salesman had no clue and I wasn't up for correcting him. I see the production spreadsheet everyday so didn't need him to keep me informed. And I wasn't going to keep him informed for free.

Another clueless dealer. BGA confirmed (on the other forum) just a week ago that all shipments are still going by truck. And if it WAS going by rail, it would go to Toledo by truck, and get loaded on a train there. Cars never got loaded on trains in BG.
