Just wondering if anyone has gotten a speed model lately??
No Speed Model received. My C8 was delivered to Criswell Thurmont on April 7, 2021. January 2021 Allocation. My friends with November '20 allocations and January 2021 deliveries received their Speed Models about 2-3 months ago. Ironically, both have sold their C8s for nice profits to local Chevrolet dealerships.
Anyone with March, April or later C8 deliveries receive Speed Models?
March 8th build date on my 21 ELB HTC and just received my “gift” on Sept 6th. There was another thread that showed the average wait now to be about 6 months.
I called about mine over a month ago, maybe 2 (March build). They told me it would be moved to top priority (or some hog wash like that). That was the last I ever heard.
Sounds like to me that they have been discontinued.
GM said all 2021 buyers will get one. But I'm sure they're made in China, and everything coming from Asia is subject to major shipping delays. COVID outbreaks in factories, at Asian ports, delays in offloading ships on the west coast of the US. (More than 60 ships with thousands of shipping containers waiting for the port of San Jose alone.)

I live near the Port of Los Angeles. There is such a backlog of unloaded shipping containers out there that they have turned into skyscrapers. I've lived here my entire life and have never seen anything like it.
Any idea who to contact if you move after you've purchased your car? Assuming this is coming directly from GM and not being given to the dealerships to disperse.

Do you know if they are working 3 shifts as in the past or just 2?

From what I understand, they actually ship from a direct marketing company contracted to GM. Maybe try the concierge and see if they can tell you how to get your address changed?
Also, check the owners and warranty books that came with the car. There should be some instructions for notifying GM of an address change, so they can reach you in the event of a recall.
