What kind of delivery times are folks experiencing? I ordered my C8 in Feb 2021and the dealer told me yesterday the current delivery times are 12-18 months and with all be the uncertainty of the covid and micro chip shortage, delivery times could be longer/change. I know it can vary a lot … what kind of delivery times are people experiencing? Thanks
From deposit until delivery for me was 5 months, chip shortage has nothing to do with the C8 so far. Plant shut downs this year were 3-4 weeks, they make around 185 cars a day when operating at full capacity. Your dealer might not have any allotments and is stalling you. Did you check to see what status your order is with the Chevy website?
My dealer is taking 2023 orders for his wait list. 2022's all sold out. So he is at least at 12 months, but no telling how many of the 2022's will be rolled over to the 2023 list.

I placed my order early August with a deposit at MSRP.
The dealers allocation for me came in August 20 and I am currently at status 3400 with my build week of Oct 4th.
I was told to expect delivery in mid to late Oct. So that would be a total of 2-1/2 months
The key is when your allocation comes up. If you are #8 on the dealers list of only 10, then your wait will take a lot longer.
I was lucky and got the only allocation the dealer was going to receive.
If your asking delivery times actually after the car is built I have seen it in 4 days. This was in June of 2014. I saw a guy on this forum that has been waiting about a month so far after it was built.
Dealer Deposit August 2nd
3000 August 4th
Built September24th
Currently Bayed, Available to Ship.
A little clarity here. Are you saying you called dealer 8/2, placed a deposit and 2 days later they called you and said we have an allocation or did you get on their waiting list months ago and they did not require a deposit until the allocation came up. Very different scenarios but you are sure lucky if the former in my example

I went to the dealer, placed a deposit 8/2 and am now awaiting the car. The Dealer is selling at MSRP and had already completed their backlog of orders. It sounds like they now have a list so my timing was just really good.
