On star after build?

I thought I remember people saying you can activate on star after the car is built?
Can that be done/can I track where the car is?

I’ve been tracking my car throughout the day using OnStar. Only thing to be careful of is that you can drain the battery if you check too often.

Your dealership can activate it for you.

Possible, not advised and most dealers won't turn it on early for you. Your dealer can track your car during shipment.
