C8 FOB programming
I put together a decision table for the C6 and the C7. I thought I'd do it again for the C8.
I used the 2020 - 2022 Owner's manuals for the information. It appears that the C8s no longer offer the long program for the FOB programming. If you lose a FOB, you go to the dealer, get a new FOB and the dealer does the long program. If you have more than 2 FOBs and need to replace a FOB, you're stuck using the dealer to add the new FOB to however many you need.
You CAN add additional FOBs as FOBs 3 - 8 in your car. I summarized the instructions for this process and it is much different than C6/7 instructions.
As usual, I am open to comments on the instructions and I will edit the instructions if any edits arise.
Bottom line? You can add FOBs 3 - 8 to your car. If you lose a FOB and need to readd, you must have 2 working FOBs so the dealer must be involved. DON'T lose your FOB!

I have the two original FOBs that came with my '23 Stingray, and are working fine. If I buy another FOB to program as #3 for a spare, do I also have to "reprogram" the 2 original FOBs after #3 is programmed according to the instructions in the pdf? If I do, will that change the #1 and #2 designations that the car's computer reads? Thanks
