Default Modify High Wing Mount?

Can I have my high wing mounted without the two middle stanchions. I can make something to plug the holes. Getting my car real soon. Ordered color matching high wing.

Pretty sure they didn’t stick 2 extra posts on the high wing that weren’t needed for support. It’s a thin spoiler, and the two middle supports are a long way from the edge. Gotta believe there would be quite a bit of flex on the ends. Yes, you’d have two exposed holes.

I would not do that. The wing is designed for four stanchions and is thinner and less sturdy than a wing would have to be for only two mounts. If you want to load something into the trunk and it slips or you need to set it down, or you need to reach down into the trunk, the normal wing should be sturdy enough to hold it. With two mounting points there is a risk it may get damaged. At high speeds it may also flex too much and either damage the mount points or in the worst case break. I think it would look odd, too.

Take the middle two stanchions to a place that does molding and have them cast them with a clear high strength material. That or get a victor racing wing if you want a true 2 post wing

Wait until you get it and see what makes sense.

I'm sure GM spent the money to engineer, test, and manufacture the wing with four mounts because the middle two aren't needed.... GM is really big into wasting money on unnecessary parts. /s
