I am new to this forum and will have a hard time with all the acronyms until I get acquainted with everything. is there an Acronym List somewhere?

HTC - Hard Top Convertible (not to be confused with the removable targa top on the regular C8.

LSD - limited slip differential (mLSD for mechanical, eLSD for electronic)

RPM - revolutions per minute

MY - model year

MM - MacMulkin - the most upfront and honest corvette dealership

Z51 - option package on the C8 stingray

Z06 - new version of C8 just announced, high revving bonkers swan song for the NA V8

Z07 - option package on the Z06

NA - Naturally Aspirated (an engine with no turbo or supercharger, at least not stock, though people add things aftermarket)

CF - carbon flash, a paint color for trim pieces and wheels,, not to be confused with carbon fiber which is usually referred to by name to avoid confusion with the paint code

PPF - paint protection film, a thick plastic wrap to protect a car's paint

1LT/2LT/3LT - trim levels on the C8

LT2/LT6/etc - different Chevy engines

BGA - Bowling Green assembly plant. The factory that builds Corvettes
TPW - Target Production Week. The week scheduled to build a car order, not always accurate.

There are also lots of acronyms for paint colors.
aw -artic white
sf- silver flare
rm- red mist
tr - torch red
ao - amplify orange
rb - rapid blue
hg - hypersonic gray
ay - accelerate yellow
cmg - ceramic matrix gray
sgm - shadow gray metallic
zb - Zeus bronze

FYI, Lori at the museum has been referring to TPW as tentative production week (basically the same, but wondering if that's the more correct word). And it's tentative (or "target") for a reason, because it's not guaranteed.

ROFL means Rolling on floor laughing.
LMK means Let me know.

FOMO means Fear of missing out.
SMH means Shaking my head.
LMFAO means Laughing my freaking *a* off.
NVM means Never mind.
IKR means I know, right.

A correction. Ceramic Matrix Gray is properly Ceramic matrix gray metallic. CMGM

Some other acronyms:
BOHICA - Bend over here it comes again
SNAFU - Situation Normal all fouled up
FUBAR - Fouled up beyond all recognition
AFU - All fouled up
DILLIGAS - Do I look like I give a S***

Learned a new one today - PBC - Performance Build Center, where the Z06 hand built engine is assembled. I assume that's the only thing (and ZR1 engines of course), built there?

Two that I have used are MRC (mag ride control) and NPP (not an acronym, it’s code for performance exhaust), both short hand ways to record must-haves for many people’s builds, including mine…

Nope. They also build Cadillac's Blackwing 668-hp supercharged V8 there. That one's available with a manual transmission.

It’s nice to use these acronyms to describe a car. For instance: C8 HTC ELB Z51 LT2 FE3. Saves a lot of typing.
