I was vacuuming my C8 and noticed the carpet is cut very ugly! Is anyone else’s like this
passenger is more noticeable but driver side is cut like that
i don’t know why they didn’t just place the seat over the carpet.
Post pics please Under passenger, does anyones wire stick out like that? Passenger (closer to door sill) Passenger (upper right) Passenger (right side)
There is a thread on here, with a service bulletin, that tells you how to get it corrected. Carpet isnt cut wrong, it' s probably some stuck under the seat track. It can be corrected and fitted properly. Look for the thread for more detailed info
Honestly, it's still a modestly priced American car with performance a priority. If you want a perfect finish, buy a high end European car. I'm willing to accept the tradeoffs.
Frankly, if that's the worst of your issues, you've done okay... no excuse, but still... you don't have oil running all over the floor of your garage, for example.
Finally took my 21 in for its free oil change and transmission filter change (did the first oil change myself). Showed them the passenger side carpet that wouldn't tuck. They told me it was the first one that they had seen, ordered new carpet and got it installed.
If you're having to nitpick the carpet, I think that says a lot about how good the rest of the car is.
For what it's worth, that's my sole complaint about my C7. The carpet is ****.
I agree 100% on both your points. I'm so glad they use better quality carpet for the C8. The C7 carpet quality is so poor it's thread bare to the point you can see the backing in areas.

People keep saying this, but have you ever owned a high end European car? Most of them have more issues with quality then any mass produced American car - minus Tesla, they still build crap. People that can afford 250k+ cars don't come to the forums and complain about their issues, they just pay thousands and have it fixed. A simple google search of any "high end" brand will dump issues in your lap.
