Default Very Minor Things

I have about 750 awesome miles on her over past couple of weeks. Even though this is my 5th Corvette, I am amazed by everything about this car.
I have had no issues, to date, and have no problems with the fit and finish of body panels, paint peeling, carpets not fitting, etc. Just loving it.

Anyhow...two minor things I can't figure out. I cannot not find anything in the owners manual, either.
1. When I start the car (not remotely) sometimes the heated steering wheel and heated seats come on automatically. Not sure if this is supposed to happen when it's cold out, or not? Can I change in settings?
2. When I put the car in reverse, the rear camera comes on, as it should. I then put the car in drive and the front camera comes on. I then have to push 'home' to clear as I rarely need the front camera then. Is this the way it's supposed to work? Can I change in settings?

Thanks all

There is a setting for auto heated seats and steering wheel. Shut it off. Front camera? Not sure. I have seen this happen but it shuts off as soon as I start moving. I believe it is designed to help you in a parking lot .

Heated seats and steering wheel come on under 40 degrees. If it’s 40 degrees out and your car is in the garage, it’s probably seeing something like 50 and won’t trigger it to come on.

Put "her" in turbo down the driveway. The camera will go off.

I thought that was only for remote start. Mine comes on during a regular start with the fob.

That sounds like you have the auto setting on in your options. C8 has two options for heated/cooler seats, one for remote start and one that comes on whenever it thinks it’s too cold or hot. I turned that feature off as I’d probably want me seat heated or cooled at a different temperature than the auto setting is programmed for

Front camera function is normal, it will shut off once you start driving above 5 mph or so.

Thanks all. I set the heated seat, steering wheel to off.
Just as you said, when I start driving away, the front camera goes off.
Now the car is perfect.
