Driving in 3rd gear, sudden loud thud and solid check engine light. Coming from breakfast, and was literally in front of the Chevy dealer here in Ft Lauderdale. Code P2854 from TCM. Tech performed triple system clean, system learn and road test. Car returned next day and appears back to normal. September 2021 build, 4,000 miles
I have cut & pasted my post from a few weeks ago. Assume that the CEL will clear and not come back. For me, it has been over 1500 miles since and the CEL has not returned. I altered my driving when I stop to avoid some of the creeping.
The other day while at a stop sign, my '22 HTC with around 300 miles got the idle creep temporarily disabled message and a solid check engine light. Pulled the codes P2854 and P0776. Did a little research and found a service bulletin where it is recommended that a solenoid be cleaned. The car drives fine and the CEL cleared itself after a couple short drives. I found the following posted in 2021 on the forum and will be cancelling my service appointment since the issue appears to be a fluke. Going forward, no pun intended, I will avoid creeping at a stop sign but will fully engage the brakes and wait. A minor change in driving habit due to having a DCT. I do not expect the CEL to reappear. Here are the quotes from 2021, the second being from the exremely knowledgable RichieRichZO6:

[QUOTE RichieRichZO6]^^^^^ This. Dealers should be doing a better job of telling owners how to drive with a DCT. GM made it clear in C8 training they will not pay for clutch failure due to incorrect driving techniques so this is something all C8 owners should know.
yes, this happened to me at 26 miles.....solid CEL, lost even gears....they performed the 3-step flush. suspected debris on solenoids....I am at 7k know and has been perfect......hoping my one DCT scare is the only one I will get....
just got my 7500 miles service done yesterday. tech told me everything with the DCT area was clean as a whistle, no drips, leaks, or drops of anything anywhere.....
I love shifting this DCT-it's a really awesome transmission....
