Default Npp or corsa

I’m torn what to do but think I may just do the corsa track exhaust rather than buying npp and taking it off anyway. How many people didn’t buy the npp and went after market

NPP in track mode bypasses the muffler. Unless you remove the cats there’s little to be gained.

I had two C7's over that gen. First had NPP, and the second one I went standard exhaust and Corsa catback and x-pipe. I was MUCH happier with sound of the second car. Sure, it didn't have the ability to go quiet, but i don't care, I don't really commute in it.

I like the convenience of NPP. It came on the car. I didn't buy an aftermarket exhaust trusting an unknown vendor. Didn't wait to get it. Didn't have to take it to a muffler shop to have it installed. And NPP was less expensive to boot. We like it just fine. Enough roar without a grimace from the neighbors. Plus it can go stealth if need be.

I'm specifically not getting the npp so I can get the corsa extreme. Had it on my c7 and loved it.

this is what I was thinking, why spend the 1100 on npp, just spend the extra and get something that sounds better and looks better. Looks like there hard to find right now??

Because you’ll spend extra to basically just get NPP stuck in track mode.

+1. I have a z51, so I have NPP. This is why I am looking at the Borla system. From reading about their technology, their valves operate in conjunction with your valve settings just like the NPP does (once you get the re-flash done by a GM dealer after the install). I run z-mode all the time with the NPP in track mode except when I am interstate driving. i will put it in tour mode, and I want that same capability when I get my aftermarket exhaust.

Thanks for everyone coming in and dropping there 2 sense. I’m thinking the corsa or awe are the best sounding options. I had corsa on my z06 and freaking loved it.

Sounds like you want Corsa, not sure why you’re asking which you should get.

Get NPP and then add Corsa NPP that way you still have sound control.

If you want an aftermarket exhaust on your C8 and you want maximum control of volume and drone, go with the npp 4 valve system from the factory. That way, you can run a 4 valve aftermarket exhaust on your C8.

You cannot run a fancy 4 valve aftermarket exhaust on your c8 (available from Corsa, Billy Boat, Borla, Lingenfelter) unless you have the oem npp exhaust. Do keep in mind most 4 valve options run between about $3800-5k.

I think if you want a straight pipe option and don't care for an exhaust that goes from loud to quiet, stick with the standard exhaust and as stated, invest in a louder more aggressive aftermarket option.

That is exactly my thinking also. I am very impressed with the engineering time they have spent developing their product. I plan ongoing with the S-type. Quieter than the ATAK but it sounds deeper and more exotic to me.
