Default Door latch problem....

Does anyone else have this problem?: Drivers side door is sticky at times. (multiple button presses to get the latch to open). Yesterday, I was in a store parking lot and it just would not open! (I was going to call my wife and have her bring me a coat hanger to get me out!) After pressing a number of times it finally opened (yeah, I know there is an emergency pull latch...but it did not get to that yet). So I wonder if anyone else has had this problem and did they add grease to the latch that pivots?

Well, you COULD have released the roof and gotten out that way. If it were a convertible, you could have just put the top down and climbed out.

I find that as long as I apply a little outward pressure on the door when I push the button, I have no problems. The latch mechanism is inside the body of the car, not exposed as on most cars, so I'm not sure there's any easy access to grease something.

Same here. Yes I had that happen, and I do what DSOMrulz said.

That is a "feature" held over from the C7s. It gives you extra time to admire your car... from outside (if you wish to or not).

The only time I have a problem opening the driver door is in my garage when I am concerned about opening the door too firmly and hitting my car parked on the left side with the oversized C8 door beak. If I try to open it too gently, the door will not fully open and I have to do it a second time. I have never had this problem in a parking lot when I can forcefully open the door.

I am 140 lbs. and 5'7", and work out at a gym at least three times a week, and still feel like a contortionist getting in and out of my C8 in my garage, never was an issue with my C6 and C7 Grand Sports.
I have my name on a Z06 list with my dealer but that car is three inches wider!
I may have to switch the Vette to the left side of the garage if the Z06 will not fit on the right side.

I will make this Z06 fit in my garage!
