I'm a fan of them both but I'm prejudiced since I ordered them both (actually, I went Z51 3LT).
I wouldn't buy a Corvette without MSRC. And performance exhaust gives you more options even if you swap it out for an aftermarket exhaust later on.
I say spend the 1200 on performance exhaust NPP on aftermarket instead. But that is if you don't want to adjust it for neighborhood etc. and loud ish all the time.
How do you all feel about the Performance Exhaust and Magnetic Ride options? Are you in favor of them on the 2LT package? Worth the extra $$?
These were three of my "Must Haves" on my C8 build. The fourth was the HTC.
I've owned my Corvette for nine months now. I can absolutely say all three are worth every last dime. If I were ordering a C8 today, all three and the HTC would be included in the build again.
I ditched the Z51 package - because I rarely tracked my C6 or C7 with the Z51 package - and went with the MSRC, performance exhaust, and the front lift. I don't regret my decision at all.
I selected a 2LT with both MSRC and NPP exhaust. I would personally recommend both. Both options are noticeable (ride softness/firmness as well as volume and character of exhaust note). I like having the ability to go canyon-carving here in Colorado with the top off, the ride set to firm (even track doesn't seem too firm to me), manually shifting with the paddles, and the exhaust set to it's maximum level. Then I can put the top back on, put it in 'Touring' with automatic shifting, turn on the A/C and get a quiet soft ride home to relax. This car is capable of being a totally different identity when you want it to with these options.
I have a non-Z51 2LT. I got the NPP exhaust but not MRC. I haven't missed the magnetic ride one bit and I really like the performance exhaust. I find the stand suspension on the non-z51 car is great, I wasn't looking for an overly soft ride but from what I understand it's not as stiff as a z51 without MRC. It's a great set up for me. My car won't see a track.
I skipped mag ride on my C7 and wished I had it. I had NPP and was very glad I did. My C8 spec has both. Neither is necessary, both add to enjoyment of the car.

If someone decides to get an aftermarket with active valves, they will need to purchase the NPP for the availability to control the valves. Very difficult to control otherwise or add this option later.
Lots of discussion about mag ride on the forum. Some feel it's almost a necessity, some don't think it does anything. I think it's great, but acknowledge its value depends on how you use the car, the road quality where you live, and other factors.
NPP almost everyone likes (95% in your poll, so far). Some don't think it's loud enough and just go straight to aftermarket. A few want their car quiet all the time. I find it loud enough most of the time from outside the car, but especially in a coupe many people want more sound inside the car. I like being able to quiet it down on the highway, or when my wife is in the car, but have it reasonably loud most of the time. NPP is a very popular option, either as part of the Z51 package or stand-alone, and will probably help with resale later.

So is it loud inside or reasonably quiet? Significant difference between standard and NPP INSIDE?
