I have the same noise whistle/whine when under a load. The noise was slight in the beginning but I have 4980 miles on the car now and the noise is more pronounced. Going to bring it up when I go into the dealer for an oil change.
I did add some dynamat to the covers. Also added additional insulation in a few other areas. It might have helped a little. Not as much as I hoped.

Just a note re gears. They are all helical gears including the intermediate gear. The 3.55:1 ring and pinion are typical and should not be causing an unusual gear noise. The one issue is unlike normal difs that use very heavy gear oil, the DCT uses a relatively light fluid for all gears.
Frankly although not as bad as my two C7s I have the sound system playing 98% of the time to drown out tire and road noise. It's a sports car! I don't have anything I consider objectionable over tire and road noise with ~8000 miles.
Is the OP's car a Z51 or non-Z51?
The concern I always have with noises, are if they're "normal" or not. I think it's probably normal to have some degree of differential whine in a 500hp sports car. If it's excessive, sure, have it looked at.
I am good with all my odd DCT noises, but I have a metallic clinking noise behind my driver side that sounds like something in the area where the seatbelt retractor is located. It's loud enough to drive me crazy unless radio is blasting.
Will have to take the car out tomorrow and do some investigative work to see if I can isolate the location of the sound.

Funny had similar with my C7 and finally found it!
It was the passenger belt buckle hitting the back of the seat when no one was in the seat. Found by buckling passenger seat belt!
Bought a seat belt cushion for a solution!
Yep, same speed. I notice it most when I apply just enough throttle to let the car "coast" without causing engine braking. Or on a very slight down grade with the cruise control on.
I'm going to mention it during my 1 year service but I'm not expecting much.
I had the service writer note I had a whine when I went in for my first year service. The tech noted that he couldn't reproduce the whine.
Of those who responded with a “yes mine has the same noise “ do you have a Z51 or non Z51 and did you add the two quarts of trans oil.
Thanks

Non Z51 HTC
I hear it when I apply gas, around the 2500rpm, REGARDLESS of the gear I'm in. It's when under load, around that RPM range. It's rather pronounced, even with the radio on.
Z51, have the whine around 60-70 mph. It appears differential oriented and not necessarily transmission as it remains if I drop a gear and run at the same speed.
