Side detection

So after half way through my drive home from picking up my convertible C8 I received a message that my side detection was temporarily un available. Has anyone had this issue and what causes it? There is nothing blocking it just stopped working an hour into my drive

Have the dealer scan it, happens every now and then with Cadillacs, I however do not have. C8 yet.

Have folding mirrors? Try moving them in and out to see if it's a lose connection. Just something to try before a service visit.

Mine sometimes stop working so I go into Home Screen and disable it then reactivate it and it works fine. (Like rebooting a computer).

That would drive me nuts. It’s a workaround but I would consider it unacceptable. Bring it back for service. JMHO

Sounds like a faulty sensor. I got that message on a 2014 GMC Acadia Denali. Dealer replaced the blind spot sensors and never received the message again.
