I will consider 2LT for my Z06 with the GT2 seats. Maybe order the hornpad from the parts dept.
The pad cover is only available as the complete airbag assembly. It can be swapped, but not cheaply. That's really the only thing I wish my 2LT had from the 3LT.

Coming from a Ferrari GT car and thinking possibly about a used Bentley continental GTC I was looking for a fine interior to be comfortable in and proud of but a more sporty car.
Nice as a Bentley NO. Nice as a Ferrari NO but pretty darn close. Also no negative comments at exotic car events. Passes looks and touchy feely. Just not quite as nice as one of the EXPENSIVE over priced cars. 3IT all the way. Never any quesrion.

Lines on stitching, quality, & feel for a car in the C8 price range I would consider it as good as it gets. Even the underside of the removable roof has some amazing lines stitched in that surprised me that they even went that far for something you actually had to look up just to see.

It all depends on your priorities & your check book. I like suede headliners so mine is a 3LT. Is it worth it? It was to me.

Must admit, I somewhat sarcastically say I paid ~$3000 over a 2LT with GT2 seat "just for color" - that headliner is 1st class!

Hard to capture the headliner stitching in a pic, but reminded of my Street Rod. Had no idea the artist/interior shop owner was planning to match the exterior silver on silver flames. Didn't see what he did for the headliner until the owner said "look up," when I picked up the car!

After I specced a really nice red mist metallic 3LT Convertible, my GF made a few changes telling me first those tight seats gotta go since I'm no longer 20,30, 40 ... and then the convertible went (she doesnt like sun) and then the inside colors went (her MB S500 has a black interior), then the wing went (she didnt want to be seen with a fanboy racer) so the Z51 went. I ended up with Rapid Blue 2LT with GT1 seats almost no options but its great because I dont need to impress anyone.

Ricardo Montalban told me the interior was "rich Corinthian Leather" and I believe it.

PS. Whatever the seats are, dont tell your grandaughters they cut up Mulan and made seats...

PPS For years I babied my Honda Goldwing seat with leather treatment until I found out its vinyl. Honda reps insist they tried leather but it wore quicker, retained heat and cold and was pervious to rain and staining. My 40 year old Goldwing seat looks new.

At least they stopped "killing" all those Nauga's to get their hides! That started to be used broadly around 1920 but they ran out of Naugas so seldom hear about it now.! It was only Vinyl (Polyvinylchloride: made from salt, ethylene and cheap lime filler) on a cloth backing versus the "bonded leather" that has a more expensive filler of10 to 20% finely ground leather scrapes, which Mulan was reported to be. One advantage of a made up name like Mulan, is it can be anything the manufacturer wishes it to be!

Naugahyde was invented in 1914 and gained wide use from the 1920's. In was Vinyl on a cloth back. UltraLeather, as used for my Street Rod is a trademark name for a material as soft as the finest woman's glove leather. It's made from and expensive specially processed Polyurethane on a rayon backing with zero ground-up real animal hide! Was quoted the exact same price as real animal hide tanned leather by the interior fabricator.

Kolamat comes in various textures, some of which look like what I see in my 3LT:

My guess is the leather in the 3LT is Mulan leather which is GM's name for Kollamat.
The 1LT/2LT is probably a TPO or TPU synthetic leather.
I wonder why they don't list Faurecia for interior dash components?
Did GM have a falling out with Faurecia? They used to have a really nice video on Vimeo that showed all the C8 dash and interior trim being MANUFACTURED and leather STITCHED at their facility.
The video is gone now, and the reference to it scrubbed from the Faurecia website!

Faurecia did (and probably still does) manufacture the interior components but doesn't make the materials. The materials come from various suppliers.
I think the chart is just a sampling of some of the suppliers.
